Welcome to Staffs HE work group.

Our statement

Elective Home Education is a Legal Viable Alternative to School.

Our aims

To communicate with the LA for the purpose of getting all their written documents to comply with the law
To be open and transparent, representing only ourselves.
Encourage other Home Educators to join if they wish.
Help from any person is appreciated.

Guidelines

Only ever represent ourselves and make this clear in any contact with the LA.

UPDATE 2023 - New draft policy consultation!

EHE has been back in house with SCC since 2017 and is no longer contracted out to Entrust.

So far there have been two consultations between home educators and Staffordshire County Council regarding Elective Home Education.

The first took place between 2013 and 2014.

The second took place between 2015 and 2018.

This is the most recent update regarding paperwork for Elective Home Education.

From 2015 - 2018 there was a second consultation, thanks to the hard work of other local home educators. The policies, procedures and paperwork for which were under review until February 2018.
